2015: A Year in Review

We stand at the turning point of the planet and its people. 2015 was a momentous year: the United Nations ratified the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and new Climate Agreement was established in December at COP21. Beyond 2015, our global community faces the responsibility to carry the momentum of the announcement of these goals, and is tasked with achieving them in the next 15 years.

To do this, we must take action. We must not forget our commitment to our planet and to each other. We must use technology to bolster our efforts to accomplish our objectives.

The People+Planet Project (P+PP) is a new action network for social good created to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) over the next 15 years. On January 1, 2016, the first phase of the platform will launch to help the world achieve the SDGs by 2030.

ADOPTION OF THE NEW SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

On September 25th 2015, 193 global leaders gathered and made a commitment to 17 goals that would accomplish three monumental objectives by 2030: eradicate extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and fix climate change.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals will lead the way to change for all people, in all countries, on one planet.
